Hello everyone and welcome to My Kids think I’m cool, but. Thank you for joining me on this chaotic journey to parenthood in a foreign country. In Today’s episode we will be talking about how to balance culture and language all while trying to raise your children. This will be an interesting topic to discuss and talk about since many internationals living abroad go through this every single day with our family.
What is acceptable in our home country is not really acceptable here in Denmark. How do parents balance both worlds while trying to keep their own culture?
Everything we are going to talk about is by experience and not by an expert. What I share on this episode is everything that worked for me and my guest, but if you have something you would like to share, please feel free to email me, message me, facebook me, insta me, there are so many ways to communicate these days i can’t even keep up. . I would love to share to the listeners how different international parents balance culture and language in their home.
I have a guest here named Camila Gamelgaard-Baker. She is Dane but grew up all over the world besides Denmark. She moved back to Denmark a couple years ago. She will talk about her experience living abroad as a Dane, and how her parents kept the balance of her Danish Identity, having her son in another country AND moving back to Denmark with her family. She is also a parenting coach where she helps parents really find their true purpose to be a powerful parent to their kids AND to find their self-worth because Parenting is HARD as shit!
